Eyes to the Front – Independent Electronic Music Label Website

Eyes to the Front is an independent record label based in Toronto, Canada, specializing in promoting electronic music artists from diverse international backgrounds. This collaborative project involved developing a content-rich website to showcase artists from various regions including South Africa, Greece, and Nigeria, leveraging Toronto’s multicultural foundation as a platform for independent music promotion.

The Challenge The project required implementing a sophisticated design system for a music label website that would effectively present diverse artist content and reflect the multicultural nature of Toronto’s independent electronic music scene. Working in collaboration with Canadian-based UI/UX designer Hana Moriya, the development needed to translate complex design concepts into functional web components while maintaining visual richness and content organization for multiple international artists.

The Solution My role focused on development implementation, translating Hana Moriya’s UI/UX designs into a functional WordPress website using Elementor’s advanced components. The development process involved implementing complex design elements and creating a content management structure that could accommodate diverse artist portfolios, music releases, and promotional materials.

The technical implementation utilized Elementor’s sophisticated component system to create rich content presentations, allowing the label to showcase artists from different cultural backgrounds while maintaining visual cohesion. The site architecture supported multiple artist profiles, music integration, and content organization that reflected both the individual artist identities and the label’s overall brand aesthetic.

The collaboration structure allowed for iterative development based on Moriya’s design specifications, ensuring the final implementation preserved the intended user experience and visual impact across all content sections.

The Impact The completed website served as Eyes to the Front’s primary platform for promoting their roster of international electronic music artists. The implementation successfully translated complex UI/UX designs into a functional, content-rich website that showcased the label’s diverse artist portfolio and Toronto’s multicultural music scene.
